Identity infrastructure, browser runtimes, and systems software.

I’m at the KERI Foundation, designing and building open-source infrastructure across wallets, hosted services, protocol libraries, and WebAssembly runtimes.

Case studies

Three projects that best show how I approach infrastructure, runtime boundaries, and failure handling.

KERI Foundation · 2026

Hosted identity infrastructure

Designed and built the provisioning path that lets wallets create accounts and allocate hosted identity services.

  • Durable operations
  • Idempotent retries
  • Partial-failure cleanup

Python identity runtime for the browser

Brought Keripy into the browser with Pyodide, durable IndexedDB storage, and WebAssembly builds of its native cryptography dependencies.

Secured agents for cloud operations

Built MCP tools for operating AWS, Kubernetes, and GCP from chat with authentication, explicit approval, and audit trails.

02

Selected contributions

Smaller slices of engineering work that shaped the larger systems.

01

Protocol upgrade across five codebases

Updated message transport, endpoint discovery, and signed-response verification across Keripy, kf-boot, Locksmith, witness, and watcher services while preserving wallet onboarding and credential flows.

02

Parallel CI without shared-state collisions

Parallelized Keripy tests and isolated network ports and persistent state per worker, fixing the conflicts that pytest-xdist exposed instead of hiding them with retries.

03

Async wallet operations and cleanup

Replaced ad hoc Qt worker threads with asyncio operations so hosted services could provision in parallel with cancellation, timeouts, and cleanup after partial failures.

03

Systems projects

Operating-system, filesystem, and performance work from UCSB and independent projects.
